First 1000 miles of 2008

2006: June 16

2007: April 15

2008: March 5

I don't expect this trend to continue, but I'm happy that I'm getting lots of miles on the bike during the winter. This winter hasn't been as mild as last winter, but there have been plenty of good riding days. The coldest day I rode was 17F.

Here's my breakdown of miles so far this year:

I thought I rode more errand miles that I did last year at this time, so I plotted this out by number of trips as well:

I made about as many shopping trips as I did weekend rides, but the weekend rides are my longest trips (40+ miles) and the errands are the shortest trips (~4 miles).

Commute Summary

Round Trip Distance: 17.8
Number of Cyclists seen: 36 (a really good number for this time of year)
In-bound Route: Lullwater/PATH Trail
Out-bound Route: Emory via Clifton
Weather: Didn't look good when I left the house; 34F, windy and looking like it wanted to snow. Surprised how many people got on the bike to ride in today.
