PATH Trails

I haven't posted photos recently so I thought I would take a few shots along the PATH trail I often follow on my daily commute. This first image has downtown in the background. This is near the bridge where lots of different groups take photos with downtown as the backdrop.

In fact, this particular morning, the Georgia Search and Rescue was taking a photo of themselves with Atlanta as a backdrop. These guys were much nicer about letting me cross the bridge than the guys filming a truck commercial several weeks ago.

Of course I have to include a panorama. This is a folksy garden alongside the PATH trail across from the Carter Center. It's not much, but the human touch is evident. I like the scraggly Magnolia with a single bloom.

Commute Summary

Round Trip Distance: 17.9
Number of Cyclists seen: 29 (a good number)
In-bound Route: Lullwater/PATH
Out-bound Route: Emory via Clifton
Weather: Dripping Sweat Warm both in and out

Great photos, as always.

I just looked at the PATH Web site, and it looks like they've built a lot of really cool trails. I have a little trouble calling them "trails," as I think of mountain biking or hiking trails, which are a lot different from paved paths. But still, it's great to have those, especially if they are actually useful from a transportation perspective.

You'd think the person installing the Bicycle Route sign would have known that the wheels go down and seat goes up...
