First Thousand Miles of 2007
During my group ride today, I hit my first 1000 miles of the year. Last year I didn't get my thousandth mile until June 16th, the last day of BRAG, a 450-mile multi-day tour. I'm citing the warm winter as the reason I've gotten so many miles.
I've broken down the miles into four categories:
Commute: 390.6
Sunday Group Rides: 386.5
Other Group Rides: 193.2
Utility/Errands: 36.8
At the top of a long hill we were waiting in a large parking lot for the riders to regroup, when we noticed a lot of cars entering the lot. Normally this lot is abandoned so we were scratching our heads trying to figure out what was going on. After looking around at where everyone was going, we realized what day it was and that the Post Office was the big destination. We didn't owe money to the IRS so I had forgotten it was April 15th.

Good for you getting so many miles. I am still under 300 with this crazy weather. Storms all week.
Wifey is trying to fly from Atlanta to Boston via New York this morning. She is bringing a good book along for the delays.
Wow! That's incredible. I recently passed 400 miles for the year, and for me, that's pretty good. I just started riding last summer after not riding for years.
I'm not even going to get started on my taxes. What a nightmare.
Must be feeling not owing, we screwed up our withholding last year and just wrote a huge check to the irs.
That should be 'must be a great feeling'
