Georgia Outdoors goes Cycling
Georgia Public Television makes its programs available digitally and I'm taking advantage of this.
The program Georgia Outdoors "takes viewers across the state to learn about the many ways we can protect and enjoy the environment". You can find the cycling episode at http://dl.gpb.org/vsx/GPBPro/GaOutdoor/search under asset ID 6761 or the title "Georgia Outdoors: Biking".
I was interested in this episode because I had participated in the city-cycling segment that was led by the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign. A few of my fellow cyclists from Aurora Cycling had participated in the "Up the Creek without a Pedal" ride also featured.
The show does a good job however, of showing many different aspects of cycling in Georgia from the picturesque tour along Pocket Road in the mountains, down to the marshy coast, with stops in the woods and the urban jungle for additional contrast. I've always felt fortunate to be able to ride in Georgia, but this show makes me feel more so.
