Faster than the Speed of Light

I thought would have a nicely framed photo of a cyclist coming through Virginia-Highland. What I discovered is I need more light or a bigger lens if I want to take these photos early in the morning. All you can see is the blue blur of the rider's jersey and a lighter blur of his helmet. The bicycle is invisible.

What kind of camera are you using?

Kind of a neat effect, though.

The camera is the Canon PowerShot SD700 IS. It's easy to hold and operate while riding (without gloves), but has a small aperature. When I bought the camera, I had been looking at digital SLRs, but decided I would take more shots if it was easy to carry on the bike.
